enjoy, destroy.
can’t stop this…
don’t leave it like this…
just beyond the grasp and out of sight
just gone, just slipped away into the night
an implied presence in a land of nowhere significant at all
time for a fall.
and they’re all this much, and they’re all that much and bought and sold and skinned, dripping dry, pared down to the bone, all lined up with stars in their eyes and pretty dresses gracing delicate frames, just waiting for easy prey to realise how beautiful they are, to open up the plastic box and take them home.
take them home. taken home. come home now. this is your home now.
when you come to find me, when you have to dispose of me, when you realise that i’ve buried my escape route deep into your own subconcious… be careful not to aim for roots carefully planted. just one shot, just one chance, that’s all you’ve got.
your words start in “me” and “i” and never “you”. there’s only one who matters. only ever one.
i’ve heard your pith and pity, your mockery. i’ve seen your words, fired on burning arrows. I’ve felt the graze of your bullets, your homely switchblades and the way your nails dig into harm. how you stab out cigarettes caked in spit on my arm.
the time has come for you to destroy me.
you’ve been looking forward to this for years, even though you might not have known. i’ve been waiting for this moment even longer.
are you ready?
