Tiny Thoughts

overdue

the woman in the shop says :
we are due a storm.
the music sung in ears and minds says :
we are due a storm.

pained, panicked, prescribed, poisoned.
listless, restful, regretful, wisened.
must storms pass by with such ferocity
when we can swallow their angst and quell their rising fight
with sludgelike viscocity
(perhaps only for today)

the person in the room says :
we are due a storm.
the butterfly flittering amidst sheaves of corn says :
we are due a storm.

if so many others say so
is it wise to blindly follow?

“when we can swallow their angst and quell their rising fight with sludgelike viscocity” I have no idea what it means but what a great line. Like always Im none the wiser as to what you are talking about but I very much enjoy reading your blog! Thanks.

Blindly following only leads to an eventual sense of loss of control, identity, direction, ’self’. You curl up into a ball, beside the fire, wondering how to escape the situation without causing misery to those who cause you misery. And the storm will pass, but at what cost?

Praying for rain indoors.
Thunder from under the floorboards.
Lightning from the lighting.
I’m waiting.
